These terms apply to purchases through our website by consumers in the United Kingdom. Please read them alongside our Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.

Our jewellery
Cattleya offers a carefully selected collection of handmade jewellery. Product descriptions specify the materials, dimensions, size and other details relevant to each piece.
Handmade workmanship may produce individual variations in shape, texture and finish. We aim to show these accurately in our photographs and descriptions. Such variations do not excuse defects or affect your right to receive goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings. This does not limit your rights if an item is materially different from its description.
Please check the stated ring size and measurements before ordering. Contact us if you need further information.
-
Placing an order
You are responsible for providing accurate contact, delivery and payment details and for checking your order before submitting it.
After checkout, we will send an acknowledgement confirming receipt of your order. Acceptance takes place when we send a dispatch confirmation, at which point a contract is formed.
If we cannot accept your order because an item is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised or a material listing error requires correction, we will contact you promptly. Any payment taken for an order we cannot accept will be refunded in full.
We will not substitute another piece without your agreement.
-
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable taxes. Delivery charges, if any, are displayed before you place your order.
Payment is required before dispatch, using one of the methods offered at checkout.
If we discover a pricing error before accepting your order, we will explain it and give you the choice of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund. We will not charge an increased amount without your agreement.
Price changes do not affect orders already accepted.
-
Delivery
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom. Available delivery services and estimated times are provided at checkout or in our Shipping Policy.
Unless another delivery period has been agreed, we will deliver without undue delay and within 30 days of accepting your order.
If delivery is delayed, please contact us. Your statutory rights concerning late delivery, including cancellation and a refund where applicable, remain unaffected.
The goods remain our responsibility until they are physically received by you or a person you nominate to receive them. If you independently arrange a carrier that we did not offer, different statutory rules may apply.
-
Cancellation and returns
For most online purchases, you may cancel without giving a reason within 14 days after the day you receive the goods. You then have 14 days from notifying us to send them back.
Email contact@cattleyajewellery.co.uk with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. Please include your order number to help us locate your purchase.
You are responsible for direct return postage costs for change-of-mind returns. We may make a lawful deduction for loss in value caused by handling beyond reasonable inspection, including wear, damage or alterations.
We refund without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving the goods back or evidence of their return, whichever is earlier. When an entire order is cancelled, any standard outbound delivery charge is also refundable.
Full instructions appear in our Returns & Refunds Policy. We do not offer an additional voluntary change-of-mind period beyond your statutory entitlement.
-
Personalised and bespoke orders
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods genuinely made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised. We will identify any such exclusion before purchase.
Handmade or unique items are not automatically excluded from cancellation.
Your rights concerning faulty or incorrectly described goods still apply.
-
Faulty or incorrectly supplied goods
If your jewellery is faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrectly supplied or not as described, contact contact@cattleyajewellery.co.uk.
We will provide the remedy required by law and cover reasonable return costs where applicable. The 14-day change-of-mind period does not limit these rights.
-
Care and alterations
Please follow any care instructions supplied with your jewellery. Contact us before arranging resizing, repairs or other alterations.
We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, accidental damage or third-party alterations. However, an alteration does not automatically remove your rights concerning an unrelated original defect.
-
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
-
Website content and privacy
Website text, photographs, branding and designs belong to Cattleya or their respective rights holders. Commercial reproduction requires the relevant rights holder’s permission.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information when you browse, contact us or place an order.
-
Complaints
Please send complaints to contact@cattleyajewellery.co.uk, including your order number and a description of the issue. We will investigate and work with you to resolve the matter fairly.
-
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future purchases. The version in force when you place your order will apply to that order, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
-
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain the protection of mandatory consumer laws applicable where you live.
You may bring proceedings in the courts of the UK country in which you live. Nothing in these terms restricts that right.
